The Technical Chamber of Greece has published the Volume of Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Ancient Greek Technology, held in Athens (October 2005) and organized by the Technical Chamber of Greece (TCG), the Society for the Study of Ancient Greek Technology (EMAET) and the Science Center and Technology Museum of Thessaloniki (NOESIS Science Center).
The colour printed Volume of 850 pages contains 105 papers (75 in Greek and 30 in English). It is available from the Technical Chamber of Greece (room 309, 3rd floor - 4, Kar. Servias st. Athens - tel. ++30 210 3291405) for 40 euros.

The international and greek research on Ancient Greek Technology is now considerably developed so that solid historical knowledge to be available to a broader audience. This was also the scope of site-tours organized by EMAET in collaboration with the TCG during the last 15 years, as well as the Exhibitions (in Greece and Germany) organized by EMAET in collaboration with the TCG and NOESIS Science Center. Some films were also produced by the DISCOVERY CHANNEL and the HISTORY CHANNEL with contribution from EMAET
The publication of this Volume of Proceedings contributes to the information of the Scientists of all fields on a fundamental component of the Ancient Greek civilisation.
Thanks to the intention of the Greek Ministry of Education to include a relevant chapter in the teaching material of history courses, it is hopped that the greek youth will acquire a broader knowledge of the Ancient Greek civilization and will contribute more actively to the country's technical development.
Moreover, this edition confirms the continuous concern of the Technical Chamber of Greece to serve the interests of the greek society.
