HELECO '05

The organization of HELECO was an initiative taken by the Technical Chamber of Greece, which represents 100.000 registered Greek engineers and constitutes the Greek Government legislative organization on technical issues. The Technical Chamber¢s action dates back to 1923 and aims at the promotion of science in fields concerning technical and technological matters which contribute to the financial, social and cultural development of the country.

2005 FEANI Annual General Assembly

The 2005 FEANI Annual General Assembly and the other Business Meetings, were held at the DIVANI CARAVEL HOTEL of Athens, September 28-30, 2005. A hundred Engineers, from 25 European countries, participated in the events.  

During the General Assembly, the second continual triennial presidency of the FEANI President, Mr. Konstantinos Alexopoulos was completed. The two very successful presidencies of him were applaud, and he was given awards, as he was the first president who had been elected two times in a row, (1999 in Rethymno, 2002 in Larnaka), he managed to bring FEANI...More information


FIG Working Week 2004 and 27th General Assembly in Athens,
Greece, May 22-27, 2004

The FIG Working Week 2004 which was organised by the Technical Chamber of Greece (TCG), the Hellenic Association of Rural and Surveying Engineers (HARSE) and the FIG was held in Athens, in the Intercontinental Hotel in May 22-27, 2004.

The Working Week was the biggest event in that year on surveying and land management issues. In the technical programme we had more than 230 papers in three Plenary Sessions and 27 Technical Sessions. More than 800 delegates participated in the Working Week and the exhibition. The Working Week offered an excellent platform for exchanging experiences in land management, land administration and land surveying. Representatives from more than 50 countries also attended the Conference.
