64th ECCE General Meeting 21-22 October 2016, Athens
Technical Chamber of Greece organized the 64th ECCE General Meeting on 21-22 October 2016 in Athens. The European Council of Civil Engineers (ECCE) is an active voice of Civil Engineers all over Europe.
On Saturday 22th October the new ECCE Executive Board was elected
A Round Table, entitled, “Building the future: The road to prosperity is always under construction” was held on the 20th October 2016, organized by the Technical Chamber of Greece (TCG), the Civil Engineers Association of Greece (CEÁG) and ECCE, in the context of the 64th ECCE General Meeting. At the Event spoke members of the Greek government, University Professors and Executives from the construction sector at national and international level.
Exhibition of Contemporary Greek Architecture projects in Moscow 14-20 October 2016
Within the framework of the Greek-Russian Year of Friendship, UIA Greek Section organized a Contemporary Greek Architecture Exhibition in Moscow, 14-20 October 2016, following an invitation by the Architectural Festival of Zodchestvo with the overall theme "Afterspace".
The exhibition was held under the auspices of the TCG. Greek projects exposed were completed /constructed by Greek Architects during the last five years (2011-2016).
Workshop on Financial Instruments for the Greek Market Athens 6 October 2016
The Event was organized by the Technical Chamber of Greece, Under the Auspices of the Ministry of Interior & Administrative Reconstruction and with the Support of the Representation of the European Commission.
TCG Participates in the European Researchers’ Night 30th September 2016
The European Researcher’s Night is a celebration for Science and Research held every year in more than 300 cities across Europe. In Greece, this year’s Night was organized in six cities: Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Larisa, Heraklion and Rethymnon. The event took place at the Averof Building of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) Patision Complex. The Researcher’s Night at NTUA was organized under the Framework Programme H2020 (2014-2020) by the Marie Sk³odowska-Curie actions.
The European Researchers’ Night aims to bring researchers closer to the general public and to increase awareness of research and innovation activities, with a view to supporting the public recognition of researchers, creating an understanding of the impact of researchers’ work on citizen’s daily life, and encouraging young people to embark on scientific careers.

Bank, with the assistance of theNational Bank of Greece,aiming
to “a World Free of Poverty, Fear and Inequality, where Life is Safe and
Growth is Resilient and Sustainable”.

speech was by the Alternate Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Yiannis Tsironis.
TCG President , Mr. Stasinos, highlighted the importance of reforms that must be implemented in Greece, such as:
change on urban planning, acceleration in compiling of the national land and the forest maps, political decision to activate /retrieve the dead capital by arranging the arbitrary buildings and privatizing land and property, change of the property taxation system, liberalization and institutionalization of the profession of appraisers, promoting the energy upgrading of buildings, resolve conflicts in land issues with the institutionalization of the profession of mediators and the creation of a land bank, digitalization of institutional directions and e-Government, enactment of incentives for the strategic investors, consolidation of the financial system to ensure sustainable financing, etc.).
International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) is a United Nations and World Bank recognized non-governmental organization of national member associations and covers the whole range of professional fields within the global surveying community.
Conference: 'Greek-Azerbaijani cooperation in the fields presenting prospects Athens 15 September 2016
A half day Conference on “'Greek-Azerbaijani cooperation in the fields presenting prospects for Greek engineers and Greek Technical Companies” was held on the 15th of September 2016, at the TCG Premises, in Athens. The Conference was organized by TCG with the cooperation of the Hellenic Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce & Development, aiming to assist the attempt of Greek Engineers to expand their activities abroad, by exploring new perspectives and opportunities for the technical sector of the country.
During the event, significant persons in the field of International Relations discussed the prospects for cooperation among the Engineers and the Technical Companies of the two countries with the President of the Technical Chamber of Greece, Mr Giorgos Stassinos and the President of the Greek-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce and Economy, Mr. Kostas Bambakas.
TCG President, Mr. Stasinos, addressing the event said :“ At TCG ,we want to assist and support the Greek technical companies and the Greek engineers, in practical matters, towards extroversion. For this, we organize series of events, that open roads in various regions of the world such as the Middle East, sub-Saharan Africa, Cyprus and Israel, in cooperation with other Greek and foreign chambers. And others will follow. The Greek- Azerbaijani cooperation can be multi-dimensional in all areas of technical interest. We have expertise and we only need will, planning and efficiency in order to change opportunities to reality”

Meeting with Chinese architects 14 June 2016, Athens On 14 June 2016 Chinese architects who were visiting Greece, representing professional and scientific institutions of their country met with TCG representatives and Members of the Hellenic Section of UIA.

TCG organized a Round Table on “Updated Information on Regulations for Architects and Civil Engineers Professional Practice and Education on the International level”, on the 5th of April 2016, at the TCG Premises, in Athens.
The event was held in order to keep the Greek Architects and Engineers on the top level of the International Engineering Society, by constant updating of the relevant information.
Dr Vasilios Bardakis, President of the Greek Civil Engineers Society and Mr Nikos Fintikakis, Elected Council Member of the International Union of Architects (UIA) and Director of JCEP-UIA, were the two Moderators of the Round Table.

Conference - Athens, April 4, 2016
TCG in collaboration with the Hellenic-African Chamber of Commerce & Development organized on 4/4/2016, a conference on the “Greek Entrepreneurship Development in Sub-Saharan Africa-Engineers going to business”
The Event was organized in order to present the opportunities in business development of the Construction and the Energy Industry in Sub-Saharan Africa which is a rising market in the global environment.
Main speakers were Ambassadors, Commercial Attachés and Businessmen already established there. The presentations were about Economy, Political Environment, Statistics and Experience in Making Business in Africa.
